Don’t drink airplane water:

Dangerous levels of bacteria have been found in drinking water aboard 15% of planes at US airports, an investigation carried out by the US Environmental Protection Agency has found . . .

The EPA tested water stored on 327 domestic and international airplanes at 19 US airports from August to September and then November to December during 2004 and found coliform contamination in 3 of every 20 craft . . .

Coliform is a bacterium commonly found in the lower intestine and its presence in drinking water may indicate faecal contamination.

Sewer water? Ew. I imagine certain levels are present even in our uber-sanitized drinking water, but I am happy to live in ignorance.

Where on a plane is there drinking water?! The water in the bathroom has signs all over that says ‘not for drinking.’ Is there a water fountain on the plane? Are they talking when you get a ‘glass of water?’ Wdf [who da fark] gets a glass [plastic cup] of water on planes these days?! Last I checked, its bottled. Unless this has to do with the ice they use…but its hard to believe its recycled.
