Wow, kind of contradicts my 103% Republican score from before…. Glad to know I’m close to centrist and still have those libertarian leanings….

I’ll try to find a test I had my family take many moons ago and post the link. I think it was a bit more mature, and had more of an explanation (and comparison) than this site…

I see your blog is still busted…

  3. I don’t know. Your vociferous party preference aside, I’d say your beliefs are close to centrist/libertarian, which you were close to on their little chart.

Anyhow, what was up with the “right to duel in a Death Match” question? Seriously.

That sounds about right, though I think I’m a bit more fiscally conservative than this survey allowed for.

Funny, Laura. We’re within 2-3 points of each other on both sides. Maybe Alice Snelgrove was right 🙂

Yup, you’re a frigging Democrat. I’m sure that plays well in Naperville.

  9. Anyhow, what was up with the “right to duel in a Death Match” question? Seriously.

Actually, this deserves a serious response. The “Death Match” question tests just how far you are willing to go to defend the principle of letting consenting adults do what they want, even if it harms them. More common tests of this principle include the prohibition on drugs, seat belt laws, etc. — basically, anything that seeks to “protect people from themselves.”

  10. It’s a nice way of legislating morality as well – trying to legislate away stupidity. Of course, as with so many issues, the language you use to describe it also reveals your underlying beliefs.

    Economic Liberal at 33% permissive
